The APCERT AGM & Conference 2018 hosted by CNCERT/CC was successfully concluded on 24 October 2018. As a yearly tradition of APCERT, this year it has gathered together more than 150 delegates from 30 countries and regions on the theme of “strengthening information sharing for effective and cooperative emergency response”.
This four-day event was consisted of Working Group sessions, Technical Training, Steering Committee meeting, Closed Conference, Annual General Meeting, Open Conference and 3rd CNCERT International Cooperation Forum, during which not only the APCERT operational issues were discussed among members, but also many speakers outside of the APCERT constituency shared their perspectives and practices on recent cybersecurity landscape, honeynet project, utilization of AI for threat detection and defense, IoT security standardization, related strategies, vulnerabilities, and emergency response etc.
Since its foundation in 2003, APCERT has held 16 such annual events and this is the 17th in the series. Just as the theme indicates, this event did get its goals and objectives effectively delivered by greatly facilitating information sharing among the community and help move one step further to realize the vision of APCERT to create a safe, clean and reliable cyber space in the Asia Pacific Region through global collaboration.
